HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2633 BY-LAW NUMBER A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO NAME A DATE, HOUR AND PLACE FOR RECEIVING NOMINATIONS FOR MEMBERS OF COUNCIL AND MEMBERS FOR THE SCHOOL AREA BOARDS FOR YEARS 1962 AND 1965 AND THE DATE AND HOURS OF ELECTIONS IF NECESSARY. The Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the place for receiving nominations for the offices of Reeve, Deputy Reeve, and Five Councillors for the Township of Pickering, and five members for each of School Area Boards Numbered 1 and 2 for the years 1962 and 1963, shall be in the Township Hall in the Hamlet of Brougham on Friday, November 24th~ 1961, and that the hour during which such nominations shall be received shall commence at six (6) o'clock p. m., and end at the hour of seven (7) o'clock in the evening. 2. THAT should an election be necessary for any or all such officers, a poll of the electors will be held on December 9th, 1961, the location of the Polling Places for such election to be named in another By-Law. The hours during which such Polls will be open will be between the hours of ten (10) o'clock a. m. and s~a~_n (~) o'clock p. m. 3. THAT ByLlaw Number 2438 be and the same is hereby repealed.
