A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORtTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING DESIGNATING
THROUGH HIGHWAYS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERIN~ AND TO AMEND PART OF
BY-LAW NUMBER 2428, AND TO REPEAL BY-LAW NUMBER 2615.
WHEREAS Clause 26 of subsection 1 of section 1 of the Highway Traffic
Act--~-~.S.O. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that:
"through highway" means any highway or part of a highway
designated as such by the M~nister or by by-law of a
municipality approved by the Department, and every such
highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-
of-way sign in compliance with the regulations of the
Department;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
the Township of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction
of the Municipality of the Township of Picketing are designated
as through highways:

Number 2428, be reseeinded:

3. The designation in section ! of this by-law of a highway
or pa~ of a highway as a though highway shall not include
any inte~ection thereon where the ~ad intersected is a
Kills Highway or whe~ t~ffic contel signals aR installed.
4. By-law No. 2615 is he,by ~pealed.
5. This by-law shall not become effective until app~ved by the
Depa~ent of Transpo~ and until signs am on display in
compliance with the ~gulations of the Depa~ment.
