A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2428 RELATIVE TO ~STOP~ STREETS.
WHEREAS Council believe that certain "Stop~ streets, as set out
in By-Law Number 2428, are not working to the best interests of
moving traffic;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Corporation of the
Township of Picketing;
1. THAT the first ~Sbop~ street as set out in By-Law No. 2428
reading:
'East Avenue from Lawrence Avenue to a point 50 feet
north of Island Road~, be amended to read:
"East Avenue from the south limit of Fanfare Avenue
to a point 50 feet south of Island Road'
AND THAT Ridgewood Road, at corner of East Avenue, be a two way
stop with north hound traffic on East Avenue stopping at
Ridgewood Road and northerly bound traffic on Hidgewood Road
stopping at East Avenue.
THAT the eighth designated aStopa street in By-Law No.
2428, reading:
"Moore Road, from 50 Feet south of Hillview Avenue to a
point 50 feet south of Highway 401a be cancelled.
AND THAT northbound traffic on Moore Road be required to
stop at Hillview Avenue and westbound traffic on Hillview
~. Avenue be required to stop at Moore Road.
3. THIS BY-LAW shall not become e~Fective untib approved by
the Department of Highways, and until thesigns have been
erected, and are on disp]ay in compliance with the regulations of
the said Department
of 1960
