A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AUTHORIZE
THE SIGNING OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ROUGE VALLEY INN COMPANY.
WHEREAS the Rouge Valley Inn Company entered into an agreement to pay
the--~wnship of Picketing Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the
paving of a portion of the First Concession Line in 1955, and as
said work was not complsted until several months after agreed by the
Township, no money has been collected by the said Township;
AND WHE.REA.S our Solicitors have now worked out with Rouge Valley
Inn Company certain Minutes of Settlement whereby the Company would
pay the Township $~,000.00, plus $250.00 legal costs over the years
1960 to 1963, inclusive;
AND WHEREAS Council, by Resolution No. 312-60, passed September 19th,
i960,' agreed to such terms of settlement;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
~ic~erihg:
THAT the Reeve and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to sign
the Minutes of Settlement prepared by our Solicitors with Rouge Valley
Inn Company for the settlement of claim in the amount of $~,000.00,
plus $250.00 Solicitors' fees during the years 1960 to 1963 inclusive.
