A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
AUTHORIZE THE REEVE AND CLERK TO SIGN THE UNION AGREEMENT
WITH THE NATIONAL UNION OF PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEES AND
ITS LOCAL 129, ON BEHALF OF THE CORPORATION, AND TO REPEAL
BY-LAW NUMBER 2542.
WHEREAS on June 20th, 1960, the employees of the Township
~-6~d Sanitation Departments filed an application with
the Ontario Labour Relations Board for certification of
National Union of Public Service Employees as bargaining
agent for them, and same was certified by the Board on
July 7, 1960;
AND WHEREAS the said Union and the Corporation reached an
agreement on September 22nd, 1960, which was amended and
mutually agreed upon on October 4, 1960;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Town-
ship of Picketing:
1. That the Reeve and Clerk of the Township of Pickering be
and they are hereby authorized to sign on behalf of the
Corporation, 'the Union Agreement between the Corporation
and the National Union of Public Service Employees and its
Local 129 covering "all employees of the Municipal Corpor-
ation of the Township of Picketing save and except non
working foreman, those above the rank of non working
foreman, and office staff", as agreed upon on October $th,
1960.
2. That By-Law Number 2542 be and the same is hereby repealled.
