A By-law to amend By-]~,w 2526 of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing.
WIK~REAS By-law 2526 of the Corporation of the Township of Pickerin6
was duly pas~ed on the 27th day of June 1960.
Ai~D WHEREA~ the Council of the said Corporation dee~m it expedient
to amend the said By-law 2526 as hereinafter set out.

l. By-law 2526 of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering is amended
by deleting from the second recital contained therein the following words;

Bosrd by order D 140 dated April 16th 1959 and by the Ontario
Water Resources Board by Certificate 58B694 dated November 28th
]952"
so that the ssid second recital shall read as follows;
"AND 1
~ ...... By-law 2361 was passed authorizing the construction
of a watermaln extension on E~st Avenue from Ro~e Hills Drive
to Highway No.? thence westerly on Higlrway No. 2 for one thousand
one hundred and fifteen feet (1,115') for the su~ of seventeen
thousand seven hundred dollars ($17,700.00);"
2. The said By-law 2526 is further amended by deleting therefrom the
fifth recital reading as follows;
'~D ~HEREAS the said water area has an assessment of two million
seven hundred and forty-four thousand eight hundred and ninety
dollars ($2,7f~4,890.00), the assessment of the Tovmship of
Picketing is sixteen million six hundred and twenty-seven thousand
one hundred and eighteen dollars and fourteen cents ($16,627,118.14),
the total debenture debt including the debentures to be ms.ued under
this By-law is two million eight hundred and twenty-eight thousand
one hundred and fifteen
and no pa~% of the principal or interest of such debenture debt
is in arrears;"
3. The said By-l~w 2526 is further amended by deleting from paragraph
one thereof the words "... of financing the waterma~ extension on Frost Avenue
from Rouge Hills Drive to Highway number 2 thence westerly on Highway number 2
for one thousand one h:mdred and fifteen feet (1,115') in the Township of
Picketing" and substituting therefore the word "aforesaid" so that the said
para raph one shall read as follows;
"l. For the i,urpose aforesaid the said Corporation si~all borrow upon
the credit of the Corporation seventeen thousand seven hundred a~M thirty
seven dollars and sixty cents ($17,737.60) ~.nd shall issue debentures
thez,efore. ,'
4. The said By-law 2526 is further maended by deleting from paragraph
three thereof the words "... within one year after the day on which the purpose
of the said borrowing is approved by Order of the Ontario Mnnicit, a] Board"
and substituting therefore the ~ords "... on or before the thirty-first day of
December 1960" so that the said paragraph three shall read as follows;
"3. ALL the debentures st~all bear the same date, and shell
~ ~ be issued at one time and o.u or before the thirty-first day
· of December 1960, may be~r any date within such year and
shall be payable in annual instalments during the period
twenty (20) years next after the date of issue thereof,
and the respective amounts of prlucipal and interest
payable in each of such years ahall he the amotmts so
desi£neted in schedule "A" hereto annexed, which said
schedule is hereby declared to fomi~ ~rt of this By-law."
