HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2487A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2473 TO DEFINE FURTHER DUTIES OF THE WELFARE ADMINISTRATOR. .WHEREAS the Township of Picketing has at present no regular employee whose duties include ad3ninistration of Township ~ecreational activities; AND W~.EREAS recreational activities are closely related to community we lfare; BE IT TIIEREFORE ENAC.TED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Picketing THAT Schedule "E" of By-Law No. 2473 passed January 25, 1960, be amended by adding thereto the following provision: To act as recreational assistant and as such to administer the policies of the Recreation Committee and provide liason between the Co~ittee and the various service organizations carrying on recreational activities within the Township, so that Schedule "E" of By-Law No. 2473 will now read: "The Welfare Depart.ment The Welfare Administrator is, in addition to the duties imposed by law up6n a Welfare A~ministrator, Welfare Officer, or Welfare Commissioner, responsible to Council th]~oUgq% the Office Managem for tile following: Administration of the Township's Welfare progran~ne BB.~ rial of indigents Nursery and day-care centres, the operation of whirl has not been entrusted to an independent board, committee or commission. To act as recreational assistant and as such to act as secretary to the recreation committee. Such further duties as th~ Of£ice Ma~ge~-may from time to time prescribe. The Welfare Administrator is responsible to Council t.hrough the 9£~fiee_~ag~r for the diligent administration of the funds approp- riated to the use of his department and to the services which it is to provide." TIIAT Schedule "E" to By-La~ Number 2473 be and the same is hereby repealed.
