WHEREAS By-Law 1823 Ss amended by By-Law 2098 created Fire Area No. By-Law 2267 created Fire Area No. 2 and the balance of the Township is served by l~ckering Village, Brougham, Claremont and Stoufffville Fire Brigades under Contracts, ~r~th one ~[11 rate; AND ~HEBEA~ on the recon~nendation of the Fire ~arshall's Office the Claremont Brigade operated by the Police Village Trustees and the Brougham Fire Brigade operated by a group of citizens have agreed to turn over the ownership of their respective fire fighting equipment to the ~nship providing areas be created of the area they now serve; BE IT THSBEFOP~E ENACTED by the Council of the Township of Picketing 1. THAT Fire Area No. 3 be formed comprising the follo~ring lots: (1) All Lots 15 to 21 inclusive Broken Front P~anges 2 and 3. All Lots 13 to 16 inclusive in Concession 1 south of C.N.R. ~ail~ay. All Lots 17 to 21 inclusive in Concessions 1, 2 and south half Concession S. All Lots 1 to 12 inclusive in Concession 1 north of C. N.R. right of way and excepting that portion of To~n of Ajax. All Lots 1 to 16 inclusive in Concession 2 excepting that portion of Village of l~Lckering. All Lots 1 to 16 inclusive in Concession 3. (2) THAT Fire A~ea No. 4 be formed comprising the follo~ng lots: Ail North half Lots 17 to 35 inclusive in Concession S. All Lots 1 to 35 inclusive in Concessions 4, 5, 6 and the south halff of Concession 7. (3) THAT Fire Area No. 5 be fo~ned comprising the follo~ng lots: All the north half Lots 1 to 35 inclusive in Concession 7. Ail Lots 1 to 26 inclusive in Concession 8. All of south half Lots 27 to 35 inclusive ~n Concession All of Lots i to 26 inclusive in Concession 9. (4) THAT Fire Area No. 6 be formed comprising the follow~ng lots: All of north half Lots 27 to 35 inclusive in Concession 8. All of Lots 27 to 35 inclusive in Concession 9. 2. A Special Rate shall be imposed upon all land including build/rigs in each area according to its assessed value including business assessment to defray the expenses of providing fire protection. ~ithin the area commencing January 1, 1960, if a~pro_ved by the 0~.ntari0 Hunicipal Board.
