A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO PROVIDE FOR HOMEMAKER SERVICES
IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
WHEREAS Chapter 37 of the 1958 Amendments to R.S.O. 1950 provide for
the establishment of Homemakers' Services in local municipalities;
AND WHEREAS the Canadian RPM Cross Society - Pickering Village and
-N) Pickering Township Branch,- has agreed to provide such services to
the Township of Pickering under the said Act;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering:
1. THAT the Township enter into the attached Agreement named "Schedule
All, being a part of this By-Law, with the Canadian Red Cross
Society, Pickering Village and Township Branch, for them to under-
-take to furnish Homemaker Services in the Township of Pickering
"D under the provisions of Chapter 37 of the 1958 Amendments to R.S.O.
1950 and that the Reeve and Clerk be authorized to sign such
agreement on behalf of the Corporation.
2. THAT such Homemaker Services and qualifications of personnel
t shall be those set out in the Regulations under the said Act;
3. THAT the Welfare Administrator of the Township shall administer
this By-Law under the provisions of the said Act.

PARTY
OF THE FIRST PART
- and - THE CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY, Pickering
Village and Township Branch, in the County;
of Ontario, hereinafter called the PARTY ;
OF THE SECOND PART
: WHEREAS Chapter 37 of the 1958 Amendments to R. S. 0. 1950 provides
for the establishment of Homemaker services in local municipalities
" and such municipalities may enter into an agreement with any organ
izat.i.on that is approved by the Minister under which the organizati
undertakes to furnish Homemakers for the purpose of this Act;
NOW THEREFORE THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH that the Party of the
! Second Part agrees to provide qualified Homemakers to residents of f
the Party of the First Part at the request of the Township Welfare R
Administrator as set out in the Homemakers and Nurses Service Act,

1958, and the Party of the First Part agrees to pay for such servie
under the terms of the said Act. E
