HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2443R Y- L A W N 17 D7 Ti E R 2 `tY3 A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP Or PICKERINC TO PROHIBIT THE DISCUARG7 OF FMARMS WTTHIN x D., V70 AREAS Te1TWAS it is deemed advisable to prohibit the discharge of guns or other firearms in x defined areasof the Township of Pickering; AND WHEREAS Section 398, sub section 37 R.S.O. 1950 reads "By-Laws nay be passed by the Councils oT local mmnicipalities "for prohib- iting or regulating the discharge of guns or other fire arms, air mgrs and sprang gals, or any class or type thereof in the municipal- ity or in any defined area or areas thereof"; AND W[TWAS under By-Laws 2103, 2264 and 2349 the discharge of fire arms is prohibited in certain built-up areas; BE TT TITIRE70RE ENACTED by the 11niicipal Council of the Township of Pickering that: 1. No person shall discharge a gun or other fire arms, air gums, or spring guns, or any class or type thereof, in the following parts of tho municipality of the Township of Pickering: (a) Commencing at, the nnit.b shore of Lake Ontario where the Torn- ships of Scarborough and. Pickering join; THENCE easterly along the north shore of We Ontario to the easterly limit of lot 29; TITEtiCP northerly along the easterly limit of Lot 29 to the northern limit of Provincial Highway Number -101; THENCE easterly along the northerly limit of highway `dumber 401 to the easterly limit of Lot Number 17; THENCE northerly along the easterly limit of Lot 17 to a point 300 feet north of the Second Concession line; THENCE westerly 300 feet north of the Second Concession Line to the westerly limit of Lot 30; THENCE northerly along the westerly limit of Lot 30 to the U southerly limit of the Canadian Pacific Railway right-of- way; THENCE westerly along the southerly limit of the Canadian Pacific Railway right-of-way to the westerly limit of lot 35, being the Townline between the Township§ of Scarborough and Pickering; THENCE southerly along the westerly limit of Lot 35 to the north shore of Take Ontario, being the place of commencement. (b) All the Plans Numbered 364, 270, 311, 331 in Broken Front, Ranges 2-3, Lot 27. (c) All of Plan Number 345 and the "unregistered plan" immediately north of Plan 345 in Broken Front, Range 3, Lots numbered 25 and 26 excepting those lots on the sandbar. (d) All of Plans Numbered 355 and 239 in Broken Front, Range 3, nI Lot 24. VI (e) All of Plans Numbered 402, 4040 65, 299, Croker, Clatsworthy, in Broken Front, Range 3, Lot 23, excepting those lots on Plan 4111 299 which are on the sandbar.
