A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO INCREASE
THE WATER RATES IN WATER AREA NUMBER 1.
WHEREAS Council propose to erect an elevated water tank and sake
extensions to watermains in Water Area No. 1 at a cost of $ 1200660,009
for which it is proposed to sell debentures;
ND WHEREAS the additional yearly capital costs are expected to be
10,600.00;
AND WHEREAS the present water rate charged residential consumers is
4.44 per 10000gallons, less 10% for prompt payment quarterly, and a
commercial rate of #3.50 less I" quarterly for prompt payment;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering that:
1. The water rates in Water Area No. 1 shall be as follows:

2. There be no further commercial rates.
3. The time limit to take advantage of the 10% discount for prompt payment
l shall be the 20th day if the respective billing months, namely, January,
April, July, October.
4. The said increased rates shall apply as of June 18, 1959.
5. All By-laws contrary to or inconsistent with this By-Iaw be and the
same are hereby repealed.
