A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO PROVIDE FOR
THE INTEREST PAYMENTS AND CAPITAL DUE ON TOWNSHIP DEBENTURES MATURING
IN THE YEAR 1959.
WHEREAS the following amounts of principal and interest of Township
debentures fall due in the year 1959:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering
that there be raised, levied and collected, the following rates in the year
1959 against the following areas:
1. School Area 1, united with the Township of Whitby, a rate of 7.1 mills
on the dollar, which will raise $ 7379.88 on an assessment of $1,039,419.97
in Pickering Township and .13,114.65 on an assessment of $4,38,683.00 in the
Township of Whitby.

2. School Area No. 2 a rate of 10.3 mills on the dollar, which will on an
assessment of $ 7,630,572.77, raise #78,594.90.

3. School Section No. 12 a rate of 23.3 mills on the dollar, which on an
assessment of $ 254,940.00 will raise $5,940.10.
School Section No. 6, a rate of 7,9 mills on the dollar, which on an
assessment of $678,509.65 will raise $5,360.23.
5. School Section No. 7, a rate of 7.8 mills on the dollar which on an
assessment of $ 573,413.00 will raise $4,472.62.
6. Pickering District High School, comprising the whole assessment of
Pickering Township, Town of Ajax, and the Village of Pickering, a
rate of 3.34 mills on the dollar, which on an assessment of
$ 15,537,668.17, will raise $ 51,895.81.
7. Union School Section No. 4 West with Pickering Village, a rate of 5.6
mills on the dollar, which on an assessment of $ 406,129.80, will raise
$ 2,274.33, being 21.6641o of the debt issued by the Village of Pickering
and due in year 1959.
5. Fire Area No. 1, a rate of .4 mills on the dollar, which on an assessment
of $ 7,516,217.00 will raise $ 30006.49, and be included as one rate
with operation cost.
D. Ajax-Pickering General Hospital, a rate of .36 mills on the dollar, which
on an assessment of $ 15,5379668,17, will amount to $ 5,613.56, and shall
be charged under the general rate.
D, Water Area No. 1, a rate of 27.2¢ per foot on1J."'O+'EET WILL raise
