A BY-LAW OF T~E TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2264 BY
PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF FIRE ARMS WITHIN A FURTHER DEFINED AREA.
WHEREAS Council have been approached by ratepayers west of Picketing
Village claiming that the discharge of fire arms constitutes a danger
to persons living in the area;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT under Clause 1 of By-Law Number 2264 a new sub-clause No. 6 be
inserted reading as follows:
"Commencing 300 feet north of the south east corner of Lot 19 in
Concession 2; T ,H~N.C~ easterly ~a~allel to the Second Concession Line
~, ~ the westerly limit of the Po~4,ce Village of Pick4ring; THENCE
~southerly to the northerly limit'~ ~f Provincial ~ighway No. 401;
~ _ .~g~. THENCE westerly along the northerly limit of IIighway 401 to the
easterly limit of Lot No. 29; THENCE northerly along the easterly
limit of LOt 29 to the north limit of Provincial Highway No. 2;
Thence easterly along the northerly limit of Provincial Highway
No. 2 to the easterly limit of LOt No. 19; THENCE northerly along
the easterly limit of LOt No. 19 to a point 300 feet north of the
Second Concession Liner being the point of commencement."
BY-LAW read a First and Second time this ~day of ~/ 1958.
BY-LAW read a Third time and PASSED this day of 1958.
