A BY-LAw TO ASSESS TRE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING,
INCLUDING THE POLICE VILLAGE OF cLAHEMONT, FOR A G~I~EHAL PUBLIC
SCHOOL RATE TO P~OVIDE ~'uNDS FOR THE TOWNSHIP STATUTORY GRANTS TO
PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE YEAR 1958.
WHEREAS the amount to be raised by general levy from the whole of
the rublic School Supporters in the said Township, excepting School
Section Number 4 West (Union), in the present year, for payment of
the Statutory Township Grants to Public Schools, required by
Section 115 of the Public Schools Act, R.S.O. 1950, is the sum
of $ 40,152.00~ as per Schedule;
AND WHEREAS the assessment of Public School Supporters in the
Municipality in the year 1958 is ~ 12,988,784.55;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
of Picketing:-
THAT there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all the
rateable property in the said Municipality, including the Police
Village off Claremont, and excepting Union School Section No. 4 West,
assessed for Public School purposes in the year 1958, the rate off
3.1 Mills on the Dollar, which will amount to $ 40,265.23 for
the purpose of paying Statutory Grants to the ~ublic Schools in
the said Municipality in the said year.
