A BY-I~W OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO SET THE DATE FOR THE FIRST MEETING
OF COUNCIL.
~HEBEAS Section 204 (1) of the Municipal Act provides "The first meeting of
the Council of a Local Municipality shall be held on the second Monday in
January at 11 otclock in the Forenoon or at such hour as may be Fixed by
By-Law, or on such day prior to the second Monday in January and at such
hour as nmy be fixed by By-law;
BE IT THEHEFOHE ENAGTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Picketing
that:
1. The first meeting of Council shall he held on the first Monday in January
at 8 otclock in the afternoon unless that day Falls on January First~
when the first meeting shall be held the following Honday at the hour
of Eight otclock in the afternoon.
2. By-Law Number 2193 be and the same is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a First and Second time tb~s 30th day of December 1957.
BY-LAW read a Third time and PASSED this 30th day of Dec, r, 1957.
