L BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO PROHIBIT THE DISCHARGE OF
TIRE ARMS WITHIN A DEFINED AREA.
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to prohibit the discharge of guns
)r other fire arms in a defined area of the Township of Pickering;
?ND WHEREAS authority is granted under paragraph 37 of sub-section 1
)f section 388 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1947, chapter 243, as
amended by the Municipal Amendment Act, 1952, to exercise such powers;
IOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
?ickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. The following area is hereby defined as an area of the Township
of Pickering to which this By-Law shall apply, namely:

No person shall discharge a gun or other fire arm in the said
defined area._ ,t,-
3. By-Law Number 2103 be and the same is hereby repealed.
1. Any person convicted of a breach of the provisions of this By-Law
shall forfeit and pay at the discretion of the convicting magistrate
a penalty not exceeding a sum of 150.00 for each offense, exclusive
of costs.
