HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2220B Y- L A W N U M B E R ',? -2 U A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO DIRECT THE 'GINNER IN WHICH THE ASSESSMENT ROLL SHALL BE PREPARED. WHEREAS it is desirable that the Assessment Roll shall be returned in a manner so that. the properties may be readily identified. AND WHEREAS section 16 , subsection L & M of the Assessment Act are not clear when applied to a rural Municipality having a limited number of named streets and few house numhered streets. BE IT THEREFOR ENACTED BY THE MUNICTPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWN SHIP _OF PICKERING That the Township of Pickering Assessment Rolls when returned in year 7-957 and each succeeding year shall be set up as follows: 1. Each Pbllir.g subdivision shall be separately assessed consecutively cormencinm with Polling Subdivision Number 1. ?. The numbering of the Roll shall be prefixed by the Polling subdivision number then a dash, followed by consecutive numbering commencing with 1. l(f 3. Numbering of each Polling subdivision shall commence in south east V\ corner of each Polling subdivision thence westerly according to Town- ship lots and according to Concession as near as possible. L14. The numbering of each Subdivision Plan shall be consecutive and \\? commencing with lot 1. I 5. Where streets are number by By-Law, assessments shall be made according to Sub section I, of Section 16 of the Assessment Act, not with- standing sections 2,3&4 of this By=Law 6. In all. other respects the preparation of the Assessment Roll shall be as set out, in section 16 of the Assessment Act.
