THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
Being a by-law to stop up and close certain portions of road
allowances in the Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS it is expedient to stop up and close
certain portions of road allowances in the said Township of
Pickering as hereinafter described;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention to pass this
by-law has been published once a week for four (4) successive
weeks and posted up for one (1) month in six (6) of the most
public places in the immediate neighbourhood of the portions
of the said road allowances to be closed as aforesaid;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY
EN C ED as a by-law of The Corporation of the Township of
Pickering by the Council thereof as follows:
1. From and after the passing of this by-law those
portions of road allowances between Lots Numbers Two (2) and
Three (3), Four (4) and Five (5), Six (6) and Seven (7),
Sixteen (16) and Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) and
A Nineteen (19)

Concession One in the Township of Pickering, more particularly
described in Schedule "A" annexed heretof which schedule forms
a part of this by-law, are, and the same are hereby stopped up
and closed as public highways.
By-law read a first and second time this 4th day of February,
A. D. 1957.

ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land
and premises situate$ lying and being in the Township of
Pickering in the County of Ontario and being more particularly
described as follows:
FIRSTLY: Commencing at the intersection of the west limit
of the road allowance between Lots Numbers Two (2) and Three
(3)1 Concession One in the said Township of Pickering and
the north limit of Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE
northerly along said west limit a distance of One (1) foot
to a point; THENCE easterly to a point on the east limit of
the said road allowance distant One (1) foot northerly
therealong from the intersection of said east limit with the
north limit of said Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE
southerly along said east limit a distance of One (1) foot
to the northerly limit of said Provincial Highway Number 401;
THENCE westerly along said north limit to the point of
commencement.
SECONDLY: Commencing at the intersection of the west limit
of the road allowance between Lots Numbers Two (2) and Three
(3)s Concession One in the said Township of Pickering and the
south limit of Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE southerly
along said west limit a distance of One (1) foot to a point;
THENCE easterly to a point on the east limit of said road
allowance distant One (1) foot southerly therealong from the
intersection of said east limit with the south limit of said
Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE northerly along said
east limit a distance of One (1) foot to the south limit of
said Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE westerly along said
south limit to the point of commencement.

the road allowance between Lots Numbers Four (4) and Five (5),
Concession One in the said Township of Pickering and the north
limit of Provincial Highway Number 401; THENCE northerly along

easterly to a point on the east limit of said road allowance
distant One (1) foot northerly therealong from the intersection
of said east limit with the north limit of Provincial Highway

FOURTHLY: Commencing at the intersection of the west limit of

easterly to a point on the east limit of said road allowance

easterly to a point on the east limit of said road allowance
distant One (1) foot northerly therealong from the intersection
of said east limit with the north limit of Provincial Highway

THENCE easterly to a point on the east limit of said road
allowance distant One (1) foot southerly therealong from the
intersection of said east limit with the south limit of

SEVENTHLY: Commencing at the intersection of the west limit
of the road allowance between Lots Numbers Sixteen (16) and
Seventeen (17), Concession One in the said Township of
Pickering and the north limit of Provincial Highway Number 401;
THENCE northerly along said west limit a distance of One (1)
foot to a point; THENCE easterly to a point on the east limit
of said road allowance distant One (1) foot northerly therealong
