A BY-LAN OF THE TO'iJNSHIP OF PICKERING TO SET THE DATE FOR THE
FIRST ilEETING OF COUNCIL.
WH3REAS Section 204 (1) of the 1=iunicipal Act provides "Ths first
meeting of the Council of a Local riunicipality shall be held on
the second Monday in January at 11 o'clock in the forenoon or
at such hour as may be fixed by By-Law, or on such day prior to
the second i?ionday in January and at such hour as may be fixed by
By-Law.
BE IT THEREFOnE ENACTED BY THE ;ViUNICIPAL CGUNCIL OF i'Hi TO,uIQSHIP
OF PICK'IING that;
The first meeting of Council shall be held on the first iYionday in
January at.-11 o'clock in the ?orenoon unless that day falls on
January 1st. when the first meeting shall be held the following
Monday at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon.
