A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO REPEAL BY-LAW NUMBER 21739
REGARDING THE TAKING OVER OF CERTAIN CEMETERIES AS TOWNSHIP PROPERTY
AND THE APPOINTMENT OF A TOWNSHIP CEMETERY BOARD.
WHEREAS certain Cemeteries in the Township have been unused for many
years, and are now in a bad state of repair, and can be considered
abandoned;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering that:
1.
The Cemeteries herein listed shall become the property of the
Township of Picker ing:
Concession 21 part of south half of Lot 5 - .85 acres
Concession 11 part of north half of Lot 19 - .60 acres,
Concession 4, part of north half of Lot 17 - .52 acres
Concession 41 part of north half of Lot 19 - .56 acres
Concession 6, part of north half of Lot 21 - .58 acres
Concession 7, part of north half of Lot 24 - 1, acre
Concession 5, part of south half of Lot 20 - 1 acre
The Cemetery Board shall comprise all members of Council.
This By-Law shall become effective on the date on which it is
approved by the Department of Health.
By-Law Number 2173 be and the same is hereby repealed.
