A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO APPOINT A GENERAL
MAINTENANCE MAN FOR THE WEST ROUGE WATER AREA SYSTEM.
BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering
that:
1. RUSSELL FERGUSON be and he is hereby appointed Maintenance Man
for the West Rouge Water Area System at a salary of § 75.00 per
month, together with certain fees for inspection of newly in-
stalled water meters, and of turning on and turning off water
stop cocks as required under the By-Law setting out regulations
relative to the operation of said water system.
2. The duties of the said Maintenance Man shall be as follows:
(1) Inspect pumps and chlorinator each morning and afternoon
seven days a week.
(2) Start Diesel stand-by pump once a week.
(3) Maintain pumphouse in clean condition.
(4) Inspect and paint water hydrants wheli regp.1. d by Engineer.
(5) Read meters once a year.
(6) Instal a private telephone in home and be an call at any
time in case of fire or other emergency.
(7) Check meters on call and replace if necessary.
3. The duties of Mr. Ferguson shall commence December 7, 1955.
