HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2098B Y- L A W N U M B E R ' 0 3 8 A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF FIRE AREA NUMBER 1. WHEREAS By-Law Number 1823 provided that Fire Area No. 1 should comprise Township Lots 24 to 35 inclusive from Lake Ontario to half way between Concessions 3 and 4; AND WHEREAS the local ratepayers' Association, whose members are mostly in Lot 230 Concession 1, and the Committee of Fire Area No. 1 have requested Council to include Lot 23 and 22 in Area No. 1; ND WHEREAS The Village of Pickering Fire Brigade, which now serves the area, are agreed that these two lots become a part of Fire Area No. 1; BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering that: .(1) Fire Area No. 1 shall comprise Lots 22 to 35 inclusive from lake Ontario to half way between Concessions 3 and 4; r(2) Those Lots 22 and 23 shall assume their proportionate share of assets in Fire Area 1 and release their proportionate share of assets in present fire district (Area 2) without any exchange of monies. (3) This By-Law shall become effective as of December 310 1955. ,?-(4) This By-Law shall be subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board.
