Thursday, the 17th day of February, A.D. 19550 UPON THE APPLICATION of the Corporation of the Town- ship of Pickering and the Board having, pursuant to appointment, and notice of the hearing having been given in accordance with the directions of the Board, conducted a public hearing at the Municipal Offices for the Township of Pickering, Brougham, Ontario, of an application for consideration of its by-law number 2010 and this said application having some on for hearing on the 17th day of February, A.D. 1955, in the presence of the Clerk of the Corporation and certain interested property owners and upon completion of the evidence adduced and a certified copy of said By-law Number 2010 having been duly filed together with an application for approval of the said by-law as passed; THE BOARD ORDERS that the said By-law Number 2010 passed on the 10th day of May, A.D. 19549 be and the same is hereby approved. Pic®-Chairman BY-LAW NUMBER 2010 of THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING A by-law to amend By-Law Number 1978 as amended by By-Law Number 1984. The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering enacts as follows: * 1? 1. Section 6.1.12, and 6.1.12.1. are repealed and the following substituted therefor. 6.1.12. LIVESTOCK Subject to subsections 6.1.12.1. and 6.1.12.2., the keeping of livestock or fowl shall be prohibited on parcels of land of less than five (5) acres. This shall not prohibit the keeping of dogs, cats, canaries or similar caged birds etc. as domestic pets. 6.1.12.1. Livestock or fowl may be kept on parcels of land of two (2) acres or more if on the effective date of this by-law such land is held by a veteran under the terms of an agreement of sale in accordance with the provisions of the Veterans' Land Act, provided, however, that this subsection shall no longer apply if part or all of such parcel is sold, rented, subdivided or disposed of in any way by the veteran. 6.1.12.2. Livestock or fowl may be kept on parcels of land of two (2) acres or more if such land is located in Lot Thirty-five (35). Range 2 in the Township of Pickering, save and except those parts of said Lot Thirty-five (35) as described in Schedules "D" and "E" to By-Law Number 1978. 2. This by-law shall come into effect on the date that it receives the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board. By-law read a first time this 10th day of May, A.
