A BY-LAW TO LIMIT THE RATE OF SPE'-0 WHICH VEHICLES MAY TRAVEL IN THE
HAMLET OF GREENWOOD.
WHEREAS ratepayers of the ramlet of Greenwood have requested Council
o im t the Speed of Vei-icles on their main Street as the "amlet is
build on a very steep hill.
AND WHEREAS the lands on both sides of the Street which is proposed
to be restricted is sufficiently built up so that it conforms to
'the Department of nighwa Is Act which permits vunicipalities to restrict
the speed of vehicles in such areas.

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Coi.pt or' the Township of
Pickering,;
1. No vehicle may oe driven at a greater rate of speed than 30 miles
per hour in the Hamlet of greenwood, on the 6th Concession line
from a point 300 feet east of the sid-lire between lots 10 z.nd
11 to a point 50' west oC the new ^:reenwood road in lot 12.
2. Any person who violates the provisions of this By-Law shall be
subject to a fine of i"10.00 and costs by the ConvictinP MaJistrate
and such fine and costs shall be recoveraole under the summary
Convictions "ct.
3• This By-Law shall become effective on the date that the required
signs (speed limit) have been erected.
