HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1926v BY - LAW N UMBE R._I..9__?_6 A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 191' TO PROHIBIT CERTAIN TRADES AIM INDUSTRIES. WHEREAS By-Law No. 1914 zoned parts of Lot 35 in Broken Front, Range 2 and 3 for industrial use only and at the ;2unicipal Board Hearing objections were raised to certain types of industries locating in said area and the .^+tunicipal Board considered such objections reason- able. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICRERING 1. THAT the lands as set out in By-Law No. 1914 may be used for industrial, manufacturing and commercial purposes of all kinds which are not objectionable by reason of *nission of dust, smoke or fumes or by reason of danger, shall include the following: The manufacture or assembly of light electrical equipment and electrical appliances, The manufacture or production of chemicals, The manufacture of non-dangerous metal products, A cartage or truck transport yard and garage, A storage warehouse for raw materials, finished parts or products, And other similar uses which are not more objectionable or dangerous. The following trades, industries or uses are prohibited: (a) Blood boilin, bone boiling, refining coal oil, extracting oil from fish, storing hides, soap boiling, tallow melting, tripe boiling, slaughtering animals, tanning hides or skins, manufacturing glue, manufacturing of illuminating gas, distillation of coal, bones or wood, fertilizers from dead animals, from human or animal waste, stone crushing or any o other trade, business or manufacture which is or may become a nuisance. The following purposes: (b) Acetylene gas manufacture; ammonia, chlorine or bleach powder manufacture; asphalt manufacture or asphalt refining, (provided that nothing in this By-Law shall prevent the use of refined asphalt for or in connection with the preparation of road building, flooring or surfacing substances, compounds or material); blast furnace; boiler works; brick, tile or terra cotta manu- facture; (This provision shall not prevent the making of cement or concrete blocks, pipes or tile) celluloid manufacture or treatment; creosote treatment or manufacture; coke ovens; dyestuff manufacture; gunpowder manufacture or storage; lamp black manufacture; lime, cement or plaster of paris manufacture; potash refining; rolling mills smelting of iron; stockyards; storage or baling of scraps, paper, rags or junk; tar distillation or manufacture tar roofing or tar waterproofing manufacture; wool pulling and scouring; yeast plant; No building other than a residence shall be erected on either the easterly or northerly-_,E?P?fgeet of the lands herein described, /0O BY-LAW read a First and Second time this 2nd day of December, 1952 BY-LAW read a Third time and PASSED this 2nd da of December, 1 52 ......?.°d'.°?:. ....................
