A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO LEVY A GREATER PENALTY FOR
THE NON-PAYMENT OF TAXES WHEN DUE
WHEREAS under "An Act to Amend the Assessment AW1 passed in 1952,
permission is granted Municipalities to levy a penalty for non-payment
of taxes when due of One Per Cent Q°%) per month;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering:
/*0 1. THAT when the current taxes are unpaid after September 15th, the
following penalties shall be imposed;
Sept. 16 to Sept. 30 - 1%
Oct. 1 to Oct. 31 - 2%
Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 - 3%
Dec. 1 to Dec. 31 - 4%
to which shall be added, commencing January let, next one-half
of 1% per month interest until paid, and same shhll be collectable
as taxes.
BY-LAW read a First and Second time this 2nd day of July, 1952.
BY-LAW read a THIRD time and PASSED this 2nd day of July, 1952•
