A BY-LAW TO ASSESS THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
INCLUDING THE POLICE VILLAGES OF PICKERING AND CLAREMONT FOR A
GENERAL PUBLIC SCHOOL RATE TO iPROVTDE FUNDS FOR THE TOVNSHIP
STATUTORY GRAITTS TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE YEAR 1952•
WHEREAS the amount to be raised by -eneral levy from the whole of
the Public School supporters in the said Township in the present
year for payment of the statutory Township grants to Public Schools
required by Section 115 of the Public Schools Act, R.S.O., 1950 is
the sum of $223z729.61?; ,
AND WHEREAS the assessment of Public School supporters in the
Munic pa ty in the year 1952 is $8,438,484.85;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF PICKERING
That there be raised
rateable property in
Vil]_ages of Claremon
purposes in the year
which will amount to
grants to the Public
levied and collected from and upon all the
