HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1869B Y- L A W N U M B E R 1 8 6 9. of the Township of Pickering to increase the remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors: WHEREAS at a recent meeting of Council a resolution was passed increasing the salaries of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors, and two subsequent by-laws were not acceptable to the Department of Municipal Affairs: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering:- 1. That the remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors, commencing January First, 1951, shall be $300.00 (Three hundred Dollars) each per year, payable in December of each year, but that $8.00 (Eight Dollars) shall be deducted from the said remuneration for each meeting of Council from which the Deputy-Reeve or any Councillor is absent. 2. That By-laws No. 1851 and 1858, pertaining to remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors, be and the same are hereby repealed. 3. That this By-law shall become effective if approval of the Department of Municipal Affairs is obtained. BY-LAW read a first and second time this 2_ day of 1951.
