Of' the Township of Pickering to engage an Assistant Assessor and
to increase the salary of certain Police Officers:
,A WHEREAS by resolution an Assistant Assessor has been engaged,
W /r and same should be confirmed by By-law;
AND WHEREAS certain increases in salary have been granted, by
resolution, to certain Police Officers, and same should be
confirmed by By-Law:-
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the TOWNSHIP
OF PICKERING :-
THAT 1. 1. Arthur J. Thompson be and he is hereby
-? ?iPII appointed Assistant Assessor at a yearly
salary of $2,200. (Two thousand and Two
hundred Dollars), plus eight cents (8¢)
per mile for the use of his car necessarily
travelled on Township business, payable monthly.
2. The yearly salaries of Constables Gordon Channing
and W. Higgins be increased from "1,850.00 to
1$2,1x.00. (Two thousand and four hundred dollars)
plus eight cents (8V) per mile for the use
of their cars necessarily travelled on Township
business, payable monthly, such increase to
be effective from January 1st, 1951.
3. By-Law No. 1831 be and the same is hereby
repealed.
