HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1858R Y- L A W N U M B E R 1 8 5 8 of the Township of Pickering to increase the remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors: WHEREAS at a recent meeting of Council a resolution was passed increasing the salaries of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors, and a subsequent By-law, was not acceptable to the Department of Municipal Affairs: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering:- 1. That the remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve, commencing January 1st, 1951, shall be $400.00 (Four Hundred Dollars) per year, payable in December of each year, but that y$ ?so Ij _ shall be deducted from said remuneration for each meeting of Council from which the Deputy-Reeve is absent. 2. That the remuneration of the Councillors, commencing January First, 1951, shall be $300.00 (Three Hundred Dollars) each per year, payable in December of each year, but that $3.00 (Fight Dollars) shall be deducted from the said remuneration for each meeting of Council from which any Councillor is absent. 3. That By-law No. 1851, pertaining to remuneration of the Deputy-Reeve and Councillors, be and the same is hereby repealed. l+. That this By-law shall become effective if approval of the Department of Municipal Affairs is obtained.
