HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1856B Y- L A W N U M B E R 1 8 5 6 By-law to levy a special rate on the taxable property in the Police Village of Pickering, to defray the cost of street lights and other special purposes in the said Village, in the year 1951. WHEREAS the Trustees of the Police Village of Pickering have made request for the levy of a special rate of TWO MILLS on the Dollar upon all the rateable property in the said Village to defray the cost of maintaining street lights and meet the cost of other sundry Village requirements during the year 1951. AND WHEREAS the total taxable property in the said Police Village is the sum of $163,159.01 BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering :- THAT there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all rateable property in the Police Village of Pickering, in the year 1951, the rate or sum of TWO MILLS on the Dollar, amounting to the sum of $926.31 for the aforesaid purposes of the said Police Village of Pickering in the said year.
