of the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, to increase the
Police force personnel.
WHEREAS at a recent meeting, council by motion approved the hiring
of two extra policemen and same should now be confirmed by By-law.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE Municipal Council of the Township
of Pickering.
10 That G, Channing and W. Higgins be added to the Township `
of Pickering Police force commencing as soon as they can be released
from their present position.
That the said officers shall be hired as probationary
officersfor a period of six months at a salary of $1850.00 per
annum each-,and shall, if satisfactory?be given an increase of $100.00
per year at he end of the &ame probationary period with a furthers oo.o?: o
year. Isservice.
30 That the said officers shall provide a suitable late
model car between them and they shall be paid W per mile for its
operafttor while on Municipal business.

4- That the telephone accounts of each of said officers shall
be paid by the Municipality together with insurance for the said car.
5. That the status of Constable F. W. White be raised from
Constable to Serg3ant immediately.
