HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1814B Y- L A W N U M B E R 1814. of the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, to make certain increases of salary to certain employees. WHEREAS at a recent meeting of Council certain increases in salaries and allowances were made to certain employees: AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to confirm said increases by By-law: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering:- 1. That the yearly salary of LLOYD T. JOHNSTON, as Clerk- Treasurer, be increased from $2,800. to $3,300. and that he receive seven cents (7¢) per mile for the use of his car while on Township business. 2. That the vearly salary of ERNEST G. BAKER, be increased from $1,800, to $2,000. as Collector, and that he receive a further $200, as Welfare Officer together with Seven Cents (7¢) per mile for the use of his car while on Township business. 3. That the salary of Miss Hilda M. Green be increased from $1,500. to $1,700. per ,year. 4. That the salary of Mrs. Elizabeth Robertson be increased from $1,100. to $1,300. per vear. 5. That the Road employees be paid for eight (8) statutory holidays :- New Year, Good Friday, 24th May, Dominion Day, Labor Day, Civic Holiday, Thanksgiving and Christmas. 6. That the said increases shall date from January lst,1950. smv p 7. All By-laws contrary to or inconsistent with this By-law C, are hereby repealed. BY-LAW read a FIRST and SECOND TIME .1950.
