of the Corporation of the Township of Pick·ring, to
appoint a Tax Collector.
WHEREAS the Township office work has increased so
that in the opinion of Council a second man is necessary
and it would seem desirable thst he should be COLLECTOR
and in general assist the 5lerk;
AND WHEREAS applications for the position have been
called for and at a recent meeting of Council Ernest
Bsker appointed by resolution and it is necessary to
confirm the appointment by By-law:
~E IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering:-
1.
That ERNEST BAKER be and he is hereby
appointed Tax Collector of Pickering
Township in place of Lloyd T. Johnston.
That he shall assist the Clerk ss
required.
That the salary for the said Ernest Baker
shall be at the rate of Eighteen Hundred
Dollars ($1,800.) per year, payable monthly
as of July let, 1949.
That BY-LAW NUMBER 1527 be and the same
By-Law read e First time this.......~ day of July 1949
