HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1785BY-LAW N0.1785 of the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, to establish a Locsl Improvement Area for the purpose of laying dust on the roads in East Woodlands. ~ng eat least sixty seven percent (67%)of all property owners t least fifty percent of the assessed value of property in Plan 346, have petitioned the Council to place calcium chloride on their roads each year: ~the Owners have agreed to pay the Corporation of the Township of Pickering the cost of such services yearly as texas: AND WHEREAS Council view with favor the granting of this petition: BE ~T T~2~EORE, ENACTE~ by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering :- 1. That each year the Road Department will place Calcium Chloride on the following roads :- (s) Highbush Trail (b) 01d Forest Road (c) Rosebank Road north of No.2 Highway to Firs~ Concession. (d) First Concession from Rosebank Road west to Bridge. 2. That the~cost of such calcium chloride shall be a charge against the Owners whose property abuts said roads or is benefitted by such Cslcium and shell be collected as taxes in equal shares, one owner with the other on the annual tax bill each year. 3. That this By-law may be registered against such property owners in Plan 346. "WE, the undersigned Owners of Plsn 346, hereby request that our "sub-division be made an Improvement Area, whereby we may ssk your "Road Department to spread Calcium Chloride on our four roads, namely Rosebank Road, 01d Forest Road, H1Mhbush Trail and that portion of the First Concession which lies between Rosebank Rosd and the new bridge to the West: AND that the cost of doing this work be levied each year in equal portions on the Owners whose property abuts or is benefitted by such work:- M.E.Davey Frank Martin Mrs. V.
