B .E R, 1778~ of the Municipality of the Township of Pickerln~, to increase the wire fence bonus paid by the ~unicipality. ~'d~EREAS By-law No. 1612 provided for the p~ying of a forty cent (40¢) per rod bonus to owners who have removed fences abutting Township roads, on which a bonus has not been previously paid, AND WHEREAS in recent years few owners have t~ken advantage of this bonus as the cost of having this work done has grestly increased, AND WHEREAS it is advantageous to the ~gunicipality to have many existing fence lines cleaned up to prevent drifting of snow; BE IT THEREFORE ~CTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Picketing:- (1) That providing no bonus h~s been formerly oaid on fence line which abuts a Township ro~d, and that owners have removed old fence and cleaned up said fence line of all rubbish,brush and stones to the satisfaction of the Road Superin- tendent, and that the owner will a~ree to keep said fence line free of such rubbish, the Council will pay e bonus of sixty cents (60¢) per rod. (2) That if Owner desires to build a fence, on said fence llne where e bonus has been paid, it must be a standard wire fence, the location of which must be approved by the Road Superintendent before erection and the fence approved by him after erection. ~ (~) That By-laws 1~33 and 1612 be end the same are hereby repealed.
