peal ~y-Law No. 1697.
,HE~d~A~ on ,~eptember ; rd, 1:-~46, the Council of the Township
of Pickel.ing pa~;sed by-law i'io. 1697, whereby the Township of Pick-
ering was desif~nated ss an Jrban Development Area under ~ection
23 of the Plan:lng Act. ~ection 23 of the Plam~ing Act has been
repealed, and the followin~ substituted therefor:
The Council may by by-law desi~mate any area
wit in the L[~nicipality ss an ~rban ~evelopment
area and tl~ereupon no person ~holl convey l~n~
in t~e area by ~ay of a deed or t~.an~fer on ~ny
sale or enter into an agreement of sale and
purchase or e~ter into any sf~reeme~'~t t]?t :~as
the effect of ~ranting t]~e use o~ or ri,~'] t in
the land directly or ay entitlement to renewal
for o period of ttenty-one j~e~,rs or more,r
unless; the land i:; described in accordance
with and is within a i'e~'[,.;tered plan of
subdiv [sion
unless the land ia more thai} ten acres in area;
unlecs ti~e l~,nd i~ t ~e vhole ,,art rem~ninM
to tf~e person of one ~' roe[ desc~ibed in e
re~£stered conveya~ce to him; or
unles~ the consent of the plennin~~ board, if
any, or share there is ~ subsidiary pl~lnl~in~
area, the planl,ing board thereof, or the
~inister, ia ~iven.
At least two, or as ~;~any es may be required, cert-
ified copies of the by-law shall be lod~ed in the
office of t~ e ..~inister where the same shall be
available for public ins~ection durin~ office ho,~rs
and registered in the proper re~[~try off[ce u-here
t~e sa~f:e shall De ~,ade available to the p~lbl~c as
prodactions.

Every per~;on who contravenes this secti ,n shall be
g~ilty of ~n offence and liable to a penalty of not
more th~'n ,,;500, recoverable under 'ilhe ~;uuuaary
Convictions Act.

ship of Pic,:erin!~ enacts as fol.ows:
The provisions of the by-law shall ,?ply to the v, hole of the
'i'oYn~hip of Pickerinf:~, that is, from ~ske ~ntario to ti,~e U×bridge
Townline, end from the Township of .hitby to tae Tov~nshi~of
Ocarboro and i~arhham on the west.~-~~
