AND WHEREAS the Township of Picketing is a Game Preserve Area operating under a Game Committee approved by the Deportment of Lands and Forests: AND W~A~ the s~i~ Game Committee has requested Council to pass a By-law requiring all persons within the Township of Picketing to first secure a Township of Picketing license from the Game Committee before carrying a gun for the purpose of hunting any game as defined by the Game and Fisheries Act 1947. BE IT TEEREFOEE RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickerlng: 1. It is unlawful to carry or use a firearm or airgun for the pur- pose of hunting any game, as defined in Section i Sub-section i of and ground-hogs~.~ the Game and ~isheries Act, 19A?,l. or rebbits~in the Township of Pickering, in the County of Ontario, without the authority of s Picketing Township License, providing that this does not apply to a farmer or his sons residing or hunting on his lands. 2. It is ,,~awful to hunt, kill or destroy pheasants in Pickering Township except under authority of a Pickering Township License. ~'3. It is ,n!awful to contravene the terms of this Township License. 4. The penalty of infractions of this By-law be not less than $10.00 or more than $100.00. By-law read a first time Dec. 16, 1947.
