By-Law to assess the several Public school Sections and Union
Public ~chool ~ections in the Municipality of the Township of Pick-
erin,, to provide f~lnds
in the year 1947.
~THEREAS the Public
for the purposes of the said ~,chool Sections,
School Boards of the several Public School
Oections and Union Public c;chool Sections in the Municipality of the
Township of Picketing have made requisition to the Council of the
said Township for the amounts named respectively in col~m 2 of
schedule to this Dy-law for use of the said ~oards in paying teachers'
salaries and defraying, other expenses of the Public ochools respect-
ively in the current year
AND WHEt/EAS by 5action 112 of the Public ochools Act,the Council
of the said id~nicipelity is required to levy the amounts named
respectively in colu~nn 3 of the said schedule and to pay the same to
the several ~chool Boards thereof for use in paying teachers' salaries,
exceptinc from such payments such of the ~chool Sections es have
during the year employed teachers at a salary of less than twelve
hundred dollars per annum for any one or more teachers.
AND 'JHEitEA~ the general school levy is being p~ovided for under
another i~y-lew of this Corporation:
AND UHEREAS the respective balances required by the aforesaid
requisitions as entered in column 4 of the said schedule v.'itl, as
directed by the said Public ~Dchools ~,ct, have to be raised, levied
and collected from ~nd upon all the rateable property in the said
~cho.~l Oections respectively:
BE IT THSR£F0hE ENfCTED by the ~.lunicipal Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Picketing:
That tbe~'e be raised, levied and collected from ~nd upon all the
rateable property in each of the i~ublic ochool ~ections of the Town-
ship of Pickerimg, in the year 1947, such a rate in each of the
.~chool oections as will be sufficie~t to raise the amou~:t entered in
colu_~ha 4 of 6he said schedule opposite the nu~:ber of e~,ch such
~ec tion respectively.
