By-law to levy a special rate on the taxable property in the
~olice Village of Claremont, to defray the cost of street lights
and other special purposes in the said Village, in the year 19~7.
~HEREAS the Trustees of the Police Village of Clare~ont have
made request for the levy of a special rate of ~.?~ mills on the
dollar ~xpon all the rateable property in the maid vlllageto defray
the costs of maintaining street lights snd meet the cost of other
sundry village requirements during the year 19~?.
AND I~I~EREAS the total taxable property in the said Police
Village is the sum of
~E IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the ~nicipal Council of the
Township of Pickering:
THAT there be raised, levied and collected from ~nd upon all
the rateable property in the Police Village of Claremont, in the
2ear 19~?, the rate or sum of A.?~ mills on the dollar amounting
to the sum of $81§.97 for the aforesaid purposes of the said
Police Village of Claremont in the said year.
