By-law to assess the several Public School ~ections and Union
Public School Sections in the ~unieipallty of the Township of
Picketing, to provide funds for the purposes o£ the said Jchool
Sections, in the year 1946.
..HEREAS the Public School Boards of the several Publ'c School
~ections and ~]nion Public School ~ection~ in the ~,iunlclpellty of
the Township of Pickering have made requisition to the Council of
the said Township for the amounts nomad respectively in colu~n ~
of schedule to this ioy-law for use of the said Boards in p~yin~
teachers' salaries and defreyin~ other expenses of the P'~blic School
respectively in the current year.
AND WHEREAS by Section ll~ of t~,e Public ~;chools Act, the Coun-
cil of the said Municipality is required to levy the amounts
named respectively in col~mn 3 of the said schedule and to pay the
s~me to the several School Boards thereof for use in peyin~
teachers' s~lsrles, e~cepting from such p~ym~nts such of the School
Sections as have durln~ the year employed teschers st e snlary of
less than~ dollars per annum for any one or ~ore
teachers.
AND ~EREAS the general school levy is being orovlded for
~nder another ~y-la~ of this Corporation.
AND 'f,1~ERE~S the respective balances required by the aforesaid
req~isltions as entered in column 4 of the said ~ohedule will, ss
directed by the said P~blic ~chool ~ct, hnve to be raised, levied
and collected from and ~pon all the rateable ~,roperty in the s~ld
J~hools Sections respectively'.

That there be raised, levied ~nd collected from end upon ell
the rateable property in each of the P~blic School Sections of the
To~'nshIp of P!c~:erlng, in the year 1946, such a rate in each of the
School Jeotlons as ~lil be sufficient to raise the amount entered in
column 4 of the said schedule o~poslte

By-law to assess the several Public School Sections and Union
Public School Sections in the Municipality of the Township of
Pickering, to provide funds for the purposes of the said School
Sections, in the year 1946.
W~ER~AS the Public School Bosrds of the several Public School
Sections and Union Public School sections in the Municipality of
the Township of Pickerin~ have made requisition to the Council of
the said Township for the amounts named respectively in column 2
of schedule to this By-law for use of the said Boards in paying
teachers' salaries and defraying other expenses of the Public School
respectively in the current year.
AND ~HEREAS by Section 112 of the Public Schools Act, the Coun-
cil of the said Municipality is required to levy the amounts
named respectively in column 3 of the said schedule and to pay the
same to the several School Boards thereof for use in paying
teachers' salaries, excepting from such payments such of the School
Sections as have during the year employed teachers at a salary of

less thsn A~e~mm~mmml~dollars per annum for any one or more
teachers.
AND WHEREAS the general school levy is being provided for
under another By-law of this Corporation.
AND WHEREAS the respective balances required by the aforesaid
requisitions as entered in column 4 of the said schedule will, as
directed by the said Public School Act, have to be raised, levied
and collected from and upon all the rateable property in the said
Schools Sections respectively.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Picketing:
That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon ell
the rateable property in each of the ~ublic School Sections of the
Towmship of Pickering, in the yssr 1946, such a rate in each of the
School Sections as will be sufficient to raise the amount entered
col-mn 4 of the said schedule opposite the number of each such
section respectively.
