TO PROVIDE IN FUTURE FOR THE ANIMAL ASSZSSMENT OF TAXAB18 PROPERTY AND
THS pREPARATION OF THS ASSESSlSMNT ROLL OF THS MDXICIPALITY OF THE TOWN-
SHIP OF PICZBRINO MIND MADE AND PRSPARSD BETWEEN THS FIRST DAY OF APRIL
AND THS THIRTIETH DAY OF SEPTEMMM IN EACH YEAR.
it is deemed expedient by the Council of the Municipal Corporation
of said Township to in future have the assessment of taxable property
in said Township made during the summer season, as is made permissable by
the provisions of The Assessment Act.
THRRRFORR the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the Township of
Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT in the present year 1936 the Assessor of this 1Gmieipality shall
in usual manner make an assessment of all the taxable property in the
Township of Pickering and prepare an Assessment Roll containing all
such assessments, in manner as required by the previsions of The
Assessment Act, and make such assessment during the period which will
extend from the first day of April until the thirtieth day of September
of the said year, and return such Assessment Roll to the Clerk not
later than the first day of October next; and in each succeeding year
said Assessor shall make similar assessments of all taxable property
in this Municipality during the same period of *sob such succeeding
years, and at no other periods thereof, so long as this By-law re-
mains in force and effect. -
2. THAT the assessment roll to be thus prepared in the present year
shall be finally revised not later than the fifteenth day of December,
1936 and the assessment roll to be prepared in each sueceeding year
shall be finally revised by the some date in each of such succeeding
years.
3. THAT the Assessment Roll to be so made and revised in the summer and
latter part of the present year shall be the assessment upon which
the rates of taxation for the following year shall be fixed and
levied, unless the Council of this Municipality in such following
year fails to adopt such Assessment for that purpose; and this provision
shall extend and apply to the assessments which shall be made in
succeeding years during the same period thereof - the assessments of
each such year being for the uses or available for use in the year
following the year when made and revised and for all the purposes for
which an annual assessment of taxable property is required to be made.
4. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on, from and after
the first day of Aprils 1936.
