HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1318BY-LAW ,NI-VII_ABB 1318 BY-LAW TO PREVBNT OR REGULATE THE FIRING OF GUNS OR OTHER FIREARMS, TO PROHIBIT TUB SETTING OFF OF FIRE-WORKS AND TUB HOLDING OF CHARIVARIES AND OTHER LIVE DISTURBANCES OF THE PEACE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING. The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. It shall not be lawful for any person to discharge a gun or other firearm, or to fire or set off fireballs, squibs, crackers or fireworks, or to take part in a charivari, or cause or assist in causing any like disturbance of the peace on any highway, street or public place within the said Municipality. 2. It shall not be lawful for any person to be guilty of ringing bells, blowing or sounding horns,shouting, or making unusual noises cal- culated to disturb any of 04 inhabitants of the said municipality. 3. Any person contravening any of the provisions of this By-law, upon conviction, shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $20.00 to be recoverable under The Summary Convictions Act. 4. All penalties recovered under this By-law shall be paid over to the Treasurer of the said Municipality, for the use of said municipality. 8. By-Law No. 744 and all other By-laws or parts of By-laws of this Corporation contrary to or inconsistent with any of the provisions of this By-law be and the same are hereby repealed.
