HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1313B„Y - LAW NUHBAR 1 3 1 3 BY-LAW PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF SIDEWALKS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKORING. The Mmicipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering BNACTS A8 FOLLOWS: 11 It shall not be lawful for any carriage, motor oar or truck, waggon, bioycl®, sleigh or other vehicle or conveyance of any description and whatever the motive power or particular kind or class of such vehicles or conveyances, to be upon or used, drawn, hauled or pro- pelled along or upon any sidowalk, pathway, or footpath used by or set apart for the use of pede3trians, and forming part of any high- way, or bridge, boulevard or other means of public communieation, or being in or upon any highway, boulevard, park, park lot, garden or other place met apart or for public recreation, in the said municipality. 8. It shall not be lawful for any person to lead, ride or drive horses or cattle upon any such sidewalk or in or on any other places not proper therefor. 3, Any person, firm or Company contravening any of the provisions of this By-Law shall be liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding $20., and the same shall he recoverable under The Summary Convict- ions Act. 40 All penalties recovered under the provisions of this By-law shall be paid over to the Treasurer of this Corporation for the use of this Uorporation. 56 By-Law No. 738 and all other By-laws or parts of By-laws of this 8orporation inconsistent with or contrary to any of the provisions of this By-Law, be and the sass are hereby repealed- PASSED December 84th, 1988 "G.
