THE CORPORATION OF THE TO~CNSHIP OF PICKERING
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing at its meeting held on the
WHEREAS by Sec~iou 9 of the Municipal act, being Chapter
of the Revised Sta%ut~:r o£ Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be exerci ed by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 2&2 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 2&5 of %he Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by 5y-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing at these
meetings be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TO~SHIP
OF PICKETING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The action of the Council of the Corppration of the ~ownship
of Picketing a% i~s meeting held on-December 15, 1969
in respect of each recommendation contained in %he'~e~-~f
the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing at this meeting, is hereby adopted and confirmed
as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this
By-law;
2. The Reeve and proper officials of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing are hereby authorized and directed to do
all things necessary to give effect to the action of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing referred
to in the preceding section hereof;
3. The Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix
thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing.
By-Law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this
15th day of December ~ 69 .
