THE CORPORATION OF THE TO%~SHIP OF PICKERING
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing at its meetingS held on the 10th
l?th da~s of November, 1969.
WHEREAS by Sect.._l 7 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter.245
of the Revised Statute~ of Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be excrci ed by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection i of Section 242 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 2&5 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by By-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing at these
meetings be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TO~SNIP
OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The action of the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing at its meeting held
in respect of eacL recommendation contained in the Reports of
the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by t]'~ Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing at t~ m~eting, is hereby adopted and conI'irmed
as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this
By-law;
2. The Reeve and proper officials of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing are hereby authorized and directed to do
all things necessary to give effect to the action of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing referred
to in the preceding section hereof;
3. The Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix
thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing.
By-Law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this
17th day of November ~69 .
