THE CORPORATION OF THE TO'~SHIP OF PICKERING
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township
of ?ickering at its meeting held on the
15th day of September, 1969.
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter.2g5
of the Revised Statut~ of Ontario, 1960, the powers of a munmcipal
corporation are to be excrci ed by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection i of Section 242 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 245 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by By-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing at these
meetings be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CgRPO~ATION OF T~E TOWNSHIP
OF PICKETING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: ~/~
1. The action~of the Council of the C~orporation of the Township
of Picketing at its ~oetin~he~d~_~p~e~m~e~_~3~D~_l.~9
in respect of each recn~endat~on contained in the Reports of
the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by th~ Council of~t~e Co~poration of the Township
of Picketing at th~s,~eeting~ ~hereoy adopted and conf'irmed
as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this
By-law;
2. The Reeve and proper officials of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing are hereby authorized and directed to do
all things necessary to give effect to the action of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering referred
to in the preceding section hereof;
3. The Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix
thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing.
