HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3918/70THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3 ?/ 8170 being a by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to exercise an option to purchase a 17.782 acre parcel of land in Lot 18 in Range 3 from William A. McKay and Melba McKay. WHEREAS the Township of Pickering has an option to purchase land for industrial purposes from William A. McKay and Melba McKay, which option is dated March 5th, 1970; AND WHEREAS the Township Council desires to exercise its right to purchase a 17.782 acre parcel of land pursuant to the terms of the option and to give the vendors the required 30 day written notice of its intention to purchase the said land. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERIM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Township Clerk is hereby authorized to notify William A. McKay and Melba McKay that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering intends to exercise its option to purchase those parts of Lot 18 in Range 3 of the Town- ship of Pickering designated as PARTS 2 and 3 on a plan deposited in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of the County of Ontario as Plan RD4qy , containing 17.782 acres of land, pursuant to the provisions of the option given to the Township by William A. McKay and Melba McKay dated March 5th, 1970. 2. The Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized to complete the Purchase and issue the necessary cheques and execute any documents required in connection therewith.
