Being a by-law to authorize the
construction and equipping of an
indoor swimming pool.
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to construct and

equip an indoor swimming pool on RaNc.e a ® of the
Township of Pickering to provide part of the facilities
required for a recreational area for the surrounding lands.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering has agreed to construct suc?an

indoor swimming pool at an estimated cost of $3.3-,000.00
and to issue debentures for part of this cost repayable
over a period of 20 years.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF
THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That an indoor swimming pool be constructed on

equipped at an estimated cost of 00.
2. That there shall be boW?wed for the purposes set
out in Clause 1 the sum of,000.00 which sum shall be a
charge against all the rateable property in the Township
of Pickering.
3. That the special rate to pay for the said indoor
swimming pool shall be paid in 20 annual instalments.
4. Pending sale of the debentures to be issued to
finance the works herein the Head of the Council and the
Treasurer may raise for the purpose aforesaid by way of
loan on such debentures any sum or sums of money not
exceeding all the sum hereby authorized to be borrowed
and may hypothecate such debentures for such loan.
