BY-LAW NUMBER (I
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to appoint a
Deputy Treasurer for the Township
of Pickering.
WHEREAS R.S.O. 1960 C.249, Sect. 377, Sub-Sect. 58
authorized the appointment of certain officers for the purposes
of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering deems
it necessary to have a Deputy Treasurer;
AND WHEREAS the Finance Committee recommended to Council
that the position of Deputy Treasurer be established for the
Township of Pickering;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
Township of Pickering that:
1. James Walls be and he is hereby appointed Deputy
Treasurer for the Township of Pickering and his
appointment shall be effective September lst, 1970.
2. The duties of the said Deputy Treasurer shall be those
as defined in the Assessment Act and the Municipal
Act, as amended together with those duties prescribed
by Council.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in
open Council this 5th day of October, 1970.
